What is a waste ink counter?
Inkjet printers can collect waste ink in absorbent pads during cleaning and maintenance cycles. A usage counter tracks this activity and may trigger a warning when it approaches a threshold.
Important: A counter reset is not physical maintenance.
Software changes the counter value; it does not remove ink from the pads. Cleaning or replacing the waste ink pads may be necessary. Do not ignore the risk of ink overflow.
